Biography

Born in 2001 in Bolzano, she began her violin studies with her father. She attended the Bachelor at the “Monteverdi” Conservatory in her city and in 2021, she graduated with honors and special mention.
In 2023, she completed her studies at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano under the guidance of Maestro Alessandro Moccia, earning a Master of Arts in Music Performance.

During 2022-2023, she studied string quartet at the Accademia Perosi with Professors Jana Kuss and Oliver Wille, violinists of the “Kuss Quartet.”

Alice has attended various masterclasses with Giuliano Carmignola, Sergey Khachatryan, Shlomo Mintz, Cristoph Poppen, and Marco Rizzi. In 2022, she has been admitted to the group of 15 violinists from around the world to partecipate in the Masterclass held by Leonidas Kavakos at the Athens Academy.

Passionate about Chamber Music, she performs in stable formations including piano duo, trio, and string quartet.

In duo with pianist Matteo Scalet, she received accolades in international competitions (including first prize at the Soroptimist Competition in Bolzano, the Spezzaferri Prize in Verona, and the Giangrandi-Eggman Competition) and performed in many Recitals; among which in Sala Filarmonica of Trento, playing for the Società Filarmonica, Tempio Valdese in Milan and Chiesa di San Cristo in Brescia.

Recently with pianist Allegra Ciancio, she played in Lac’s Hall in Lugano for Lugano Musica for the inauguration of Paul Klee’s exhibition.

With the Acquerello String Quartet, she performed for the Friends of Music in Padua and the Accademia Perosi. She performed alongside cellist Giovanni Gnocchi with Schubert’s Quintet for the Viotti Festival.

Alice has collaborated with orchestras including Orchestra La Scintilla (Philarmonia Zürich), Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano (OSI), Haydn Orchestra in Bolzano and Trento, and Orchestra della Fondazione Arena di Verona, under the guidance of internationally renowned conductors such as Juraj Valcuha, Markus Poschner, Riccardo Minasi, Charles Dutoit, Christoph König, Alexander Shelley, Ottavio Dantone and Michele Mariotti. She also had the opportunity to play with soloists as Martha Argerich, Mikhail Pletnëv, Ilya Gringolts and Andrea Oliva.

Aditionally, she became a member of the European Philarmonic of Switzerland (EPOS) Orchestra, conducted by Charles Dutoit. Since 2021, she has been a member and Assistent Concertmaster of the Südtirol Filarmonica Orchestra.
From 2023, she joined Spira Mirabilis Orchestra, known for performing without a conductor and led by violinist Lorenza Borrani.

In 2023, Alice successfully auditioned for the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (GMJO) and participated in summer tour concerts in prestigious European venues under the baton of Daniel Harding and Jakub Hruša.

In 2024, she was chosen as academist by the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées to play in the 2025 season, under the baton of Philippe Herreweghe.

She has been invited to play at several prestigious festivals, both in orchestral and chamber formations, including the Salzburg Festival, Rheingau Musik Festival, Young Euro Classic in Berlin, Rencontres Musicales d’Evian (where she performed with Martha Argerich), Grafenegg Festival, Bolzano Festival Bozen, Mahler Festival in Milan, Ticino Festival Orchestra in Lugano, and the Biennale Festival in Venice.

Alice is supported in her studies by several scholarships and foundations, including the Bruno Schuler Stiftung and Fondation ZHdK.
